if I thank you every time. I am enjoying looking in on the contemporanious texture and flavor of the times as it relates to card collecting. Quite interesting listening in as they try and determine the best ways to get cards, auction cards, and how to maximise the movement of cards for the good of the community. It was obviously a lot more personal back then. It's also nice to see the gentle prodding and reassurances as they relate to card VALUES, scarcity, and the future interest of others by Burdick in these issues - much the same as comes across in the card catalog. He really enjoyed every collectible and all that collecting it entailed. Of course how else could he aquire all the good stuff he ended up with happy.gif ...............

Henry- "thank you's" are appreciated VERY much and welcomed each and every time...but they aren't necessary. As more of these get posted it will continue to be painfully obvious that the exact same things we discuss today, 60-70 yrs later, are the same ones they discussed.

Claude- Thanks for posting the article that George V did. He and I had a great chat on the phone several weeks ago and we are exchanging a lot of good information between us. regards

...for your wonderful post and your permission to let me use some quotes from the "pages" in future Wrappers. Burdick and Bray: a great one-two punch.

Leon, another big THANK YOU from us all. I normally don't collect this far back but I can fill one card from Mr. Bray's want list, the Lew Fields Between the Acts card.
