I just picked up the "A" version of the Indian Gum wrapper. When I get something new, I often look for any related info available ... I search in this site's Gallery. The only wrapper of this version I could find was posted by Bob R. (UtterChaos) in a thread that ran from Sep 2010 to July 2011 about the Indian Gum wrappers. What struck me when comparing the two wrappers was that they were the same ... I don't mean the same variation, they were the same wrapper - same creases, same dirt.
What I found strange was that I got the wrapper for what I considered a very reasonable price on Ebay. But the description didn't mention the variation, rarity, or whatever. I would think that the seller would mention these factors to increase desirablity and percieved value.
I guess my question is, how can a wrapper achieve the prominence to be posted on this site as a rare variation, and then, six months later, be sold in relative obscurity? Maybe there's no answer.
Hey Dan - when are we going to have the Indian Gum Wrapper Variations page up and attached to the Indian Gum page? Thanks - Jack J.
