I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I bought. Here's a sampling of the 320 cards in the lot. Most will be heading to eBay soon. Shoot me an email if anything catches your eye...

- and without knowing if there's back damage - the indians and general booklet look to be in the 30. - 50. range - more if exmt or better. The other N cards if clean all look to be from decent sets - figure 10.-20. more or less. The rest are out of my era.
No guarantees whether written or implied..........

It's a total mixed bag. Some very nice front/back combinations, others with significant back damage including paper loss.

Charley...nothing billiard related.

Regards,
Jeff

I picked up an Allen and Ginter metal cigarette box. You can see the pics at the following link, toward the bottom.
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=145586&page=15.
I was able to post the pics over on the baseball side, but the jpegs are too big for this board. I was wondering if one of the experts (Mr. Moses) had an idea as to the item's age? I was guessing around 1890.

I couldn't see the pix. Happy to help if you could just send me a pic @ my email address. Specific dating is quite difficult but an era would be in my findings......

Jerry - nice early stock stand-up. Good to see there are still nice pieces like that to be found and appreciated.

I've not seen those R109s before; very impressive graphics!

Thanks for the feedback. R109 is one of my favorite sets due to the pirate theme and impressive artwork.

"Think of it. The brain of a dead man waiting to live again in a body I made with my own hands!"

Been looking for one of Colin Clive for a while; he died at 37 and had a short career, so I guess there aren't too many career-contemporary cards of him:

Great Collin Clive card. He starred in some of the most vivid images of my childhood. Frankenstein was always my favorite. For you youngsters, that's Collin on the left. -Jack J.

Not a card, but while we're thinking of Colin Clive, I picked up this pre-release Universal ad for one of his finest roles.

Probably because Mrs. McKinley looks like she could scare you up a tree...

There was a thread that asked what other hobbies we have; this is a new addition. [linked image]
