As some of you may know by now I'm keeping track of card values on some sets, since I'm using only graded card value I had a request to possibly track the registration number as well, at first I said know because this would have been to much work to open up every image and write down the number, since then I found a way to do it that is not to painful so the registration number of the graded card will be available most of the time as well as the picture provided, some picture are so badly off focus though it is impossible to read the number on the holder.
I'm keeping track of these sets:
The Lone Ranger
Civil War News
Mickey Mouse (1935)
Brady Bunch (I intend to keep track of both the regular and the test set but so far I haven't seen a test card being sold yet)
Horror of War
The three Stooges (1959)
I'll let you guess which one is the more active (most sale of graded card).
All this to get to the point of this post I would like to start to keep track of the rare cards but to be able to do that I have to set the parameters that define a trackable rare card, I know there are probably hundreds of one of a kind cards but they are mostly obscure card in an obscure set, I'd like to keep track of the rare cards that appears on wanted list, cards that generate activity an excitement when they become available.
I know it is a touchy subject where many collectors do not want to advertise which one are the rare cards with the hope they will go unnoticed, it's one way to cut down on the competition
Anyway, here is the deal I can make the data private so only participant would have access to it, if you would like to participate I would like to know what cards do you think should be tracked, and if you are aware of recent sale can you provide a link to the data so I can get the info first hand.
You can respond here or you can email me if you prefer.
