Three recent acquisitions are below. I'd be delighted to hear from others with T217 Monos!

You didn't overpay. Its worth double.Once you get the clock fixed. I offered him $100.00 less and he came back at the number you ended up paying. Nice item and only the second of its kind I've ever seen. Congrats !

I recently picked-up a large lot of these. My plan is to hold onto a couple and make the rest available to other collectors. I have decided to list them first on here and then post anything remaining more broadly. Watch the B/S/T section for more details.

great minds........ I also offered the 600 cards it originally required. He should have taken that one! Haven't played poker for couple weeks - big game PLO 8 tonight. I deserve it after listing 200+ items live now and 150 already done for next week.

Not a card, but I thought an attractive display piece. It's about 13.5 inches tall. What's with the cone full of girls?

Thankfully I had requested that the seller sandwich it between cardboard and that was all that saved it! It came out without a scratch!

That's an awesome premium Henry - I've seen a few, but never with the clock piece still intact and in place. Beautiful! And I agree, how can you price such scarcities? It's not like you can just hop on eBay and BIN one.

Neat Set ! I want one!

Todd, have you been taliking trash to Richard and Allen?
OR... Did you forget to tip your mailman at Christmas?

Reminds me of the old samsonite commercials with the gorilla

Charley,
Yes, it is a very cool set. It was the mail-away premium from the 1931 version of the Dixie Animal circus series.

I'm starting to think the box might actually have value as I think it is the actual prop from this Movie.

John , I do like those Pirate Warrior cards , the art work is so delicate and colours are subdued but superb .
I've been tempted in the past but resisted .

I often imagine how striking the cards would be if just a little larger , say the size of US gum cards . Wow .

======================

Adam , Julie Newmar , a picture is worth a thousand words .

Chris Benjamin. It is illustrated on page 195 of his
book - NON-SPORTS CARDS 1930-1960.

Here's some Belgian movie star cards. Top couple of rows from Victoria chocolate, some Kwatta cards towards the bottom, and a couple of Belgian Gum cards at the bottom right. My first Pele card and I couldn't resist getting a card of Francis the Talking Mule, I don't remember seeing a card of him before. Now I have a "Roland" Reagan card to go with my "Ronal" Reagan card I showed previously. I like the card of Lionel Barrymore looking like Potter from "It's a Wonderful Life," most cards of him show him younger, and a fun card of Keenan Wynn of "Dr. Strangelove" fame.
