there are 4 styles. Plain, gold, silver, and a "felted" style. The fourth style is actually a bit wierd and I'm unsure how they got the brushed green "astroturf" like surface or what it's made of. As I'm not collecting a master set - the 4th style is actually unpleasant to my eyes - I traded it away for a plain Rutgers. I can't say whether or not each of the four styles was produced for each of the colleges. I have a couple of schools in which I own the first 3 styles. I have only seen Rutgers (3/4 times) and one other school (Amherst?) in the 4th style and just not enough exposure for me to come to meaningful conclusions. The next step would be to access the WTI which should reveal at least a partial answer - my volumes are out of reach at the moment There are a few schools that I haven't seen in the plain style as well. Perhaps in the future - Bob's book or an opinion from him will help clarify - if not then next time I'm in the damn thing for something I'll try and remember to look but memory not always so good. If you NEED the info. - email me and I'll get to it...............
Cheap shot - I need Lehigh and Fordham (went for my masters there) to put this set to bed - it will be my only representative SET for the leathers section of my accumulation as testimony to my theme of tobacco as art. Anyone?
