Hey all, I continue to mess with this set. not having enough cash or years in my life to complete Master sets, I thought I would try to obtain at least one back from each brand (excluding series and color combinations). I pulled out my Forbes-Mitchell and according to the lists I tabulated 30 possible brands/factories combinations!!! this is a set in itself!

I am close to obtaining all 30 backs. I just obtained 29 of 30 an elusive Big Run Factory 229 (PHOTO BELOW)! I am missing one of the 30 listed below, the Hustler Factory 606 MD. If anyone has an extra lying around let me know!

also let me know if my calculations are off. I can scan some other backs if there is any interest.

Hey Cliff,

Over the years, I've been buying t59s in groups, scrapbooks, singles, etc. I don't how many I have (hundreds and hundreds) or how many different backs, but one day I'll go through and organize them. It gives me something to look forward to.

This set is the last frontier in terms of a huge (with front/back combos), early 20th century tobacco set that is not expensive.

assuming my list is complete looks like I completed this quest! does anyone know if the BIG RUN CIGARROS FACTORY No. 229 6 Dist of VA is found as an overwrite only or is there an original out of this factory??

If there is an original Factory No. 229 then my quest continues....

Thanks for the concise list, Cliff. I've collected this set for two decades and have several complete sets of the fronts, but like you, some backs remain elusive. You're super-close now, so hopefully you get that last one soon. Great stuff.
