Chris - The cards average 38 X 60 mm. There's a little fluctuation, but that's pretty close. - Jack J.

Philadelphia Caramel Derby Winner Candy Box

March 12 2017, 6:58 PM

This is really a February pickup but I haven't had a chance to post it until now.

The box is in rough shape and barely hanging together but I had to pick it up for its ties to the Philadelphia Confections/Philadelphia Caramel company.

very nice cabinets. I owned both - long gone - couldn't afford to keep them at the time - hope to one day replace them as Ginter really a core part of my accumulation.

March Pick-ups

March 13 2017, 2:29 PM

Imagine my surprise when this Jig Saw Nougat gem came in the mail this morning. The generousity of my number one wrapper buddy (who, due to his ever present humility, shall remain un-named) is unsurpassed. I, for some reason, couldn't remember how to scan the card, so I shot this photo. Maybe when Rosemary gets home she will show me how to get a better scan. Thanks, MK for doubling my collection of Jig Saw Nougat cards. - Jack J.

Jack...........is that photo in homage to the person who sent it to you? Because it looks to be very in the vein of MK. Except you are fully clothed in the photo.

March pick-up

March 14 2017, 3:17 PM

Picked up a mid-1940's trivia card set (uncatalogued?). Set of 32, if complete. Each folding stand-up card has a corresponding question card, multiple choose card, and answer card. Producer unknown. May have been an educational set for use in classrooms.

Set contains two athletes - Babe Ruth and John L. Sullivan.

Lots of nice tobacco pickups by everyone!

Steve, that set is great! Hopefully someone will chime in who knows more about it.

Some recent pickups...
