      Hi Everyone,

My name is Keith Moore and I'm a fellow Polio Survivor. I was hit by the virus at the age of 10 month's old way back in August of 1956, just two weeks after I took my first steps as an infant. It's been a tough battle with this Post Polio Syndrome which is just in the last 12 years or so made my life pretty challenging. I've recently moved here to Warm Springs,Ga(population 400 or so) in hopes of getting a little help with this mess and it looks very promising for me and this is why I have decided to find a site like this to share the good news with my fellow survivor's. I came here because of one of my childhood hero's Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He set it up here so that Polio Survivor's would have a place to go for treatment, which now days it is for anyone with a disability, but the good news is, that there's a new doctor here that just happens to have a big heart and she is interested in Us most especially and the survivor's all over the world. Her name is Dr. Cathy Hogan and she is a new resident at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute For Rehabilitation here in Warm Springs. I attended the Post Polio Support Group meeting on December 20th here at the Institute and it was awesome! This was my first real experience with a group of survivor's and the group has big plans for the future. Dr. Hogan was also at the meeting for the first time and she was very caring and compassionate towards us and also has big plans for our future as well. I can't tell you how excited this made the small Support Group knowing that the care of Polio is back on track with what President Roosevelt had intended it to be in the first place here in Warm Springs. There's a lot of excitement in the air here in the peaceful woods of Georgia and we need to get the word out so we can all get the help we need. This is where FDR passed away and where he felt most comfortable and now that I'm here for good, I know why. Thank You God, Thank You. Just knowing that we will get the care we need has almost overnight relieved me of the stress that I have had to deal with since the PPS kicked in over a decade ago. Lets get the word out so we can all benefit from it, alright?

      Your friend in Warm Springs,
