Ok, where is everyone? No excuses...the holidays are over and it is time to get talking to each other. We need to get the word out and get to know one another. Any one want to talk to me?

I'm Here

January 10 2008, 8:42 PM

Hi Milbrey,
Well I am here this evening. How are things with you?

I have been very busy since late October since we found out that my Dad has cancer. He is being treated at one of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, so my husband have been on the road a lot. It can be exhausting and it takes me a lot of "down time" to regain at least some of my energy.

So I am new here but not new to PPS, diagnosed in 1989 at the age of 36. I was immediately put into an power chair and had to retire from a job I loved. I have involved in our local support group since late 1988. I served as co-leader and then as president when we went non-profit.

Now I can not get out as much I do a lot of advocate work for the group and also created and maintain a polio website.

So that is a bit about me. I look forward to making new friends here.

Take Care,
Linda
