I am currently in the midst of producing a program and I am very interested in contacting survivors from a 1948 study in Reidsville, NC with a Dr. Frederick Klenner. The study was entitled "The Treatment of Poliomyelitis and other Virus diseases with Vitamin C" The report was published in the Southern Journal of Surgery and Medicine in 1949.
Any survivors of this study would most likely be anywhere from 65 to 100 years old. There were only 60 subjects, so I know this is a difficult request, but we are hoping to get the word out there about Post Polio Syndrome. Dr. Klenner's work with Intravenous vitamin C worked wonders on many, however it is still dismissed by the medical community even after 50 years of proven successes. We'd like to change that and really have the scientific community further study the benefits of Vitamin C. Please, all responses and suggestions are welcome.
