Response to Austin Tilly marks

I am only just starting to experiment with Tamiya colours and so far not found any matches to the standard. Reading through the instructions the company are trying to get colours correct. I do not have the paints they recommend but I will get them to test. The 1942-44 two colour brown/black scheme is correct but they do not tell you how it should be applied. See attached for correct method. I do not know how close the brown shades are to the standard, this still needs working on. In 1941 the basic colour was Khaki Green G3 that is actually a yellow brown-green which is a very odd colour. I am still trying to make this. XF-58 for No.15 Olive Drab is far too green, this needs yellow at least to get it right. In the desert; I do not know what XF-59 looks like but bronze green is NOT a disruptive colour in the war, anywhere at all. These cars were road bound and used by rear area units so a single colour would be all they carried. In Italy then UK colours are used. Again rear area units. I am sorry i cannot at present be any more help, but I am working on it.
