Hi lads, just about finished this model project.

1st up - terrain. Taped up the base with some Tamiya masking tape. Next I used some thin cork based tiles that were cut to shape as the basis for the terrain. I scored the base top surface with a knife and then used superglue and white glue to stick the cork tiles to it. Once that was dry and firm I applied some DAS modeling clay with my Mk #1 thumb and fore finger to create the outline of the groundwork.

The model was positioned several times to get a good layout and an idea where to build up the drifts.

When the modeling clay was dry I spray painted it white using Gamework Shops Skull White primer via a can. After that I used a combination of True Earth's Snow and Signifers Snow which was scattered over the terrain with AK Interactive's "Gravel & Sand" solution.

The name plate is something I made up using Illustrator , converted to a jpeg and then printed off in Tesco's print shop for the cost of 31 euro cent happy.gif Double sided stick tape was used to fix it to the base.

There are still some minor clean ups and fixes to do ( some exhaust stains to be added as well ) before I fix it permanently to the base, but essentially its done.

I very much appreciated the constructive feedback and encouragement I received during this build. Its been a valuable learning curve for me and I am delighted to have actually finished something within the time frame of the GB which has been producing so many great builds that are a great advertisement for the scale happy.gif

Thanks for looking happy.gif Now.. a cup of tea me thinks is on the cards wink.gif

Best regards

Paul
