Thought I'd post a few pictures of my KV-2. This was the second 1/48 model that I started to build and it has been languishing on my workbench for a number of years. I have dressed it up with an aluminium barrel from RB and etched grills from Hauler. I have applied a Vallejo Russian Green Primer and lightened it with Tamiya Field grey progressively lightened with Tamiya Light Blue.
The running gear and lower hull has been crudely over-sprayed with khaki which I have also worked into recesses around the mudguards and nooks and crannies in the hull. The next step is to brush paint some highlights and warm the colour up with a filter and pin-wash.S
I noticed in the photos that there are some lumps of Mr Surfacer around the rungs on the hull that aren't apparent on the actual model. I'm not sure how I will clean these up.
The plan is to have this model based in a small vignette abandoned at the side of a dirt road somewhere in Eastern Europe with some German soldiers marching past.
