...in the jeep.

Well, I have been scratch building the antenna mast base.
It was made of aluminium (or aluminum if you are in the States wink.gif ) sheet.

I had to draw, cut and bend the seet to the right form. Now the mast base is in place and with tha coat base applied. Hope you like it.

Ah...wheels are in place too.

Nice antenna mount....

May 7 2009, 8:34 AM

Nice tiny detail. I do not know if you plan to integrate it in the finish of the vehicle, but I like how it looks now -jusr primed- because the antena mount looks like a later addition to the vehicle, likely as the real thing. wink.gif

One more thing. Have you considered to paint pioneer tools in a OD shade?. The way you couloured them is very artistic indeed, but I fear surely that equipment was OD primed in the factory too. I guess this is common mistake due to restored vehicles. What do you think?.

About the pioneer tools....................

May 7 2009, 9:57 AM

......I had the same doubt too. Some of the restored jeeps I have seen, have the tools painted in OD, but others have them unpainted showing the natural wood and steel. That´s why I couldn´t trust the restored exsamples and had to search for an original color picture and that´s what I have found:

Anyway if you prefer them in OD you are right too wink.gif :

As you can see........its a "customer taste" thing.

Glad you like it, amigo.
