Dear all,

Here's the model I am working on lately. I am using this Panther G to practice my soft edge 3 tone camouflage. I am having difficulties see the brown and I was wondering if it was just me. (I am partial colour blind) Please comments.

colors

July 1 2009, 4:27 AM

hello calvin

what I would do is to clarify the yellow or obscure brown, both to get it for contrast.

what color is relative, each view it differently and have many green olive, green Russian, panzer gray, ect .. as models.

I think what we need to get is that people who see the model, identify the color.

I hope have helped.

Xavier

espero haberte ayudado.

Soft tones....

Calvin,

Yes, the three shades look very soft and also the pics are a bit greenish to me, but maybe that is in my screen only. Anyways even if you are making a soft edge camo you can make a stronger soft-edge (better defined I mean) that can help to limit every area of colour. Also Xavi advice (the use of brighter shades) can be very helpful to enhance color difference too.

Anyways it is a good attempt for soft camo schemes. wink.gif

Thanks Lu and Xavier. I guess it is too late to anything now, since the decals are up. I will try again for my future camouflage projects. I have another Panther G and Jadgpanther on my workbench waiting to be painted.
