I have applied winter camouflage using the hairspray technique. I repainted over the license plates to make them SS, not a beautiful job but it will be mostly covered by dirt. Comments and suggestions welcome!

I had choosen the same camo if I would be in for the GB. This looks at one of the more interesting shemes.

Erik, do you happen to remember the source for the camo scheme, I have the image but I don't remember the book it came from. It's supposed to be from the 1st SS PD, in Kharkov 1943.

yes the 1.SS at Kharkov, that's right. And the camo could be found in "Wydawnictwo Militaria No.215 - Sd kfz 251".
As I see the photo now, I must say, you did a good match with your pattern. Very fine !

I also like how th ecamo is going so far and will wait for next updates patiently. I more like the engine cover areas and think the airbrush work is still to much noticeable to my taste but hopw that will be toned down in next steps.

I had some problems with my hairspray, in some places the paint will just not come off. It's been 3 days now so it is cured as it is. I will have to do some positive and negative mapping to tone it down, or worst case I will have to repaint the whole thing.
