Great looking figures...

March 30 2010, 4:17 PM

Hi Taesung , great looking figures - looking forward to ordering the 1/48 set. Any idea when they will be hitting the shops and who will be stocking them?

Thanks for taking a step ( even if its only with your little toe ) into the 1/48th pool happy.gif

Best

Paul

There is a list of Alpine dealers on my website.
I also contacted the 1/48 dealers, but they didn't
get back to me.... sad.gif

Have made the usual inquiries and still cannot find
these at dealers listed. Plan to buy 3 of each.

Hoping I don't miss out on these... :\

Any chance I can order these direct?

Availability

March 31 2010, 11:43 AM

Hello all,

I sent an email to Colorado Miniatures (USA)
inquiring about these figures. Below is the
response he sent me.

I just ordered 3 sets! happy.gif

---------------------------

"i wasn't planning in carrying them since i've had very bad luck selling 1:48 scale figures in the past, but i will get them for anyone who wants them. you're the 2nd person to ask me today. the prices on the 1:48 scale kits would be $11.25 for the single figures and $21.50 for the 2-figure set. i'll be putting in an order with Alpine tomorrow (Wednesday), so let me know if you want me to get them for you..."

That's it!

Gents
That's how it works. Most of my dealers are
kind of scared to stock 1/48 figs. If you contact
your normal source and ask for these new figures,
they will be encouraged. happy.gif

Update!

March 31 2010, 12:26 PM

Thanks for the kind words, gents!
Hope to see them painted up by you all. :D

As you all know, I was a bit skeptical to go into 1/48 scale.
Many of my dealers had warned me. However I am happy to
announce that almost half of 300 units (each) had already
been ordered by Alpine dealers over night. Thank you all
for the support.

Get a hold of these limited edition figures while you can!
The mold will be destroyed after 300 units.

Can I ask what store?

March 31 2010, 4:00 PM

I'd like to get some too, but can't find a place in stock yet. Looks like I need to include as a special order then?

Thanks,

Mike

Most of Alpine dealers

March 31 2010, 4:25 PM

www.alpineminiatures.com/dealersdistributors.html

These figures were just announced yesterday.
Most of Alpine dealers already placed orders for these 1/48 figures.
It will take a couple of weeks for them to get them in stock.

Thanks!!! happy.gif

I followed David's lead above and sent a note to Colorado

at sales@coloradominiatures.com. They told me they would get them for me.

Also picked up the nice set of Taisho Modeling TAI-48001 1/48 figures at the same time. Those are sweet - sculpted by Hiroyuki Ishii.

I received mine too... 3 beautiful sets

April 16 2010, 12:43 AM

I also bought three sets. happy.gif I love these figures, best 1/48 figures I have ever seen. Despite them being a collectors item (especially being a limited run of only 300 worldwide) I do plan on building a set.
