Hi all ......

I haven't posted anything for a long time ...... in fact I haven't modelled for a long time due to some RL issues that I'm only just getting on top of. Anyway, enough of the boring stuff and on to a couple of piccies.

Just completed this Tamiya Stug. Out of the box, its for gaming and was punched out in a couple of days so no extra frills I'm afraid. As usual, its all brush finished in GW acrylics over a Humbrol 83 yellow base. What pigments were used on the tracks and lower suspension are a mix of MIG and homemade.

cheers

Brent

Me likes!

Brent,

Welcome back to your forum wink.gif. I am very happy to see you here again. Once more your Stug proves there is no need for one airbrush when one has good brush painting skills. I like the look of the model overall and the perfect pics as well. I hope this means your retunr to active 1/48th scale AFV modelling again.

Good work amigo.
Lu

Thanks for the kind words Lu.

Yes a return to 1/48th, and modelling in general, I've got some catching up to do !

As for 1/48th specifically, I've probably got 20 or so vehicles to complete here. Looking foward to picking up a few just for myself though, and maybe going to town on them a little with figures and PE ..... just for a change !

cheers

Brent

Hi Alan

October 20 2010, 2:45 PM

Yeah no airbrush ........ for many reasons I've worked out a basic technique that can achieve most camo without one. Most of my stuff is in 1/72nd  and thats even more forgiving of brush painting I think.

Not sure I have the time to faf-about perfecting and cleaning an airbrush!

Thanks for the comments .....

cheers

Brent
