Here are a few pics of the Mammut dio, I've started the paint on the building and now I need to add all the details.I've given the Mammut a coat of flat varnish and all that is needed now is adding the rest of the stowage and touch up a few details, I can then call the Mammut done and concerntrait on the dio.I think the figure is from Prieser, but I'm not sure. I think he looks
good the way he is regarding the Mammut.
As always, all comments good or otherwise will be greatfully recieved
Kind regards to all.
PS, heading out into the desert on Thursday for a about a week, if I get any decent pics I will post them when I get back.
for a miserable wet and rainy Sunday evening Alan. This has brightened up my evening NO end
Your not just a dab hand with AFV models... the the painting and weathering on the building is just brilliant. I would LOVE to be able to do the brickwork the way you have done
Whole project is really coming together very nicely... not long before you put a nameplate on it and call is done
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad it made you happy and as for the sunscreen, we are expecting
mid 20's day temp down to nearly freezing at night! I might need to pack an extra sweater!
We are travelling around 1100km from home to what we call "Station country" nothing there
but red dust and the ocassional Camel and Kangaroo.
We are going to visit a few abandoned homesteads which should be interesting.
We are taking 3 landrovers 6 blokes(1 guy is ex SAS)food and a little beer.
I will post some pixs when I get back.
Regards to you my friend.
Thanks for your encouragement, it's nice to know that you where thinking down the same lines with
the building. When I get back from the desert I will attempt to get the whole lot finished before I start my GB project, but you know how it works,I'm already raring to go on the GB after seeing
what all you other guy's have posted over the last couple of days and I fear that the Mammut
might go to the back burner. I will have to make a concerted effort to clear the work bench!
A thousand thanks again.
