Once again I would like to thank Josh Emery for help with the kits.
Tamiya did a great job and these build up quick and easy. I used RB model BESA and Black Dog stowage for Crusader III and I will paint it in Black and Yellow camouflage. As for the Tilly - I haven't decided yet on the painting but I want to do smth unusual.
No doubt the Crusader is being a very fashionable kit here and it maight happpens some more will join still.
Regarding the cute Tilly, I wonder how unusual you want to make yours. Apart you can make a desert tilly to go along with your Crusader, here you have some more exotic suggestions... (for discussion ONLY).
The very famous Malta Tilly with the stone wall camo scheme...
Or even if you really want something rarer, a bomb disposal Tilly could be cool too...
I see you are taking the Tamiya GB full of energies amigo.
In the first place I wanted to use Black Dog´s set but those sandbags were too big.
So I made new ones from Magic Sculp (or alike) and made a roll about 5mm in diameter.
Then cut pieces each 6mm and form a sandbag in between your thumbs and your indexfingers.
Use a needle and stipple in the stitches.
To give them some structure I use some gaze and gently push it on every sandbag several times.
They still look a bit too big, but work a whole lot better than the ones you can buy.
