Hey Geoff,
So a guy i play with every once in a while was trying out something the other day during the round which he read called clear keys. I had never heard of them before but searched your site and saw a couple posts about them 2 or so years ago. In one you mentioned they were ok, but probably not ideal since they are a blocking mechanism. I just wanted to see if there were any further thoughts on the use of clear keys or if they really were just a short term hocus pocus fix. I guess it would be tough to be very zen like and in the now and the present moment if you are telling yourself a random line or clear key over and over again to distract yourself. I looked up the website and it says by using your clear key you are allowing you body to go automatic and use you subconscious and habits to play golf. So if you have good habits and technique using your clears keys will block any conscious thought and allow your habits and body to repeat in any situation on the course. He says you basically pick your shot, visualize what you want, make only one practice swing, squeeze the club and release to release all tension, then just walk into the shot saying your clear key over and over in your mind until the shot is gone. Sounds interesting i guess but wanted to see what you thought?
Thanks,
Stuart
