Question: John Daly missed THREE short putts to loose to Tiger this week. Each was 3-4 feet. I saw the first and knew he would miss before he dragged his putter back and then I watched him make the same mistake each time, pulling it left. He was lined up incorrectly , which was obvious. But, I believe, once again, the problem was having no understanding of Aerial perspective. This is an epidemic. Even tour players don't know about this which is why almost all of the short misses are slight pulls. He thinks it's his putter, and loosing confidence. Did you see the tourney? Do you agree with me? When I try to explain Aerial perspective to my friends I loose them.
Also: I just heard the since Michelle Wie is very left-eyed dominant her optimologist is givng her excercises to make her vision even-steven. I disagree and think they are harming her. I am a natural left-hander, play right handed, and being an artist I am EXTREMELY left-eyed dominant. The "catch22" of vision is that we have two eyes and not one. This is where the "problems" are caused. Wie actually has an ADVANTAGE by being left eyed dominant and those numbskulls think it is a hinderance. At the very least, it might not be an "advantage" but clearly there is nothing wrong with it. Simply turn your nose ever so slightly to right and viola! you're good to go! Throw in an understanding of Aerial perspective and she'll be fine. Agree?
And don't get me started on Sergio!!!!!
Clearly, since T. Woods is a technician and loves to fiddle, and is bright, and can putt the lights off under pressure there is no doubt to me that, in his own way he knows about the components of aerial perspective, even if he doesn't know the term (which he probably does).
