Indoor putting greens

I want to buy or make an indoor putting green. Something in the 8' to 10' range.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Some commercial ones I am looking at are the Big Moss and the Accu-turf one.

Or for making my own, making a platform out of 2x4s putting a sheet of plywood on it, then installing indoor/outdoor carpeting on top of it, and installing a cup.

thanks

If you go the do-it-yourself route, I would use two or three layers of varying density foam between your plywood decking and the artifiical grass carpeting. This way, you can create realistic undulations, and also a realistic feel under your feet and the ball. You should use a more dense foam on the bottom layer, a slightly less dense foam for the second layer, and the top layer should be the least dense. That's the way I would do it, anyway. Otherwise, you're walking on a stiff sheet of plywood under carpet and you won't get the feel of real turf, or the contours of real turf, either. Make sure your framing is adequate throughout, also.
