Hi Simon,

I saw Scott Hoch trying out a belly putter at the Wachovia Championship in Charlotte NC near me last week. He looked pretty disatisfied with the Scotty Cameron Futura potato-masher.

Also, while Mike Weir is still using a conventional putter, he recently had it tweaked by Scotty Cameron, and now he says he is putting horribly and will skip the Colonial to try to get it fixed in the run-up to the US Open. Will he try a belly putter, too? Who knows.

Weir testing belly putter

"My putter's really been awful this year, and that's the real difference," he said this month in Las Vegas, where he experimented with a belly putter in the Invensys Classic. "It's been a real struggle to get the ball in the hole. . . . I'm striking it better than I ever have in my life."
