Help! I am a local Professional here in OKC and I am having trouble sinking "makable" (10-20) putts. My stroke is solid and my short putts(4-6) seem to fall regulary. However, I am not holing the putts that I know could increase my income! Today during my round, I hit 15 greens and only managed 2 birdies ( one of which was a two-putt and the other a 2 fter). The thing that is most frustrating is that all but one of the other 13 birdie putts where ALL OVER THE HOLE!!! It seems to be a very consistent occurence that I lip-out , barely burn edges or fall a roll short. I staying calm and patient on the outside, but inside I'm in turmoil waiting on one to fall! I know the difference in me playing on a tour somwhere or continuing to scrounge around here in OK and TX is these putts starting to fall........HELP!

Not a One-Message Fix

This is the basic problem for many if not almost all Tour players. The problem is mostly visualizing the last two or three feet of the putt plus tempo control. You are probably hitting the ball a wee bit, and this puts too much "send" on the ball and causes lip outs. Seeing the last two or three feet vividly with the ball rolling through this segment with slowing speed to a nice drop speed over the edge will help calm your tempo down a bit, so the delivery of the ball with more controlled and slower speed helps you sink these putts.

This is really a very involved problem, and I'm jus hitting the highlights here. Please email me and I'll go a lot deeper into this for you.

Cheers!
