Dear Damon,
I have a few laser products on my Aids page under Alignment / Aim:

Here is a Putter Pal ($40) that attaches to your putter shaft and has a beam that adjusts to different distances:
http://www.sportstechgroup.com/page2.html This laser makes a point-beam. The Guideline laser makes a line on the ground:

The Clayton SD-10 laser has the laser attached as a permanent feature of a putter, retails for $100 and is available to PGA members at a discount, and is recommended for indoors use. The literature says the design encourages a slight forward press to get the beam aimed down enough, whereas other designs I've seen allow adjusting the beam at the outset on an up-down swivel. I don't recommend a forward press.

A swing aid called the Laser Trainer simply spots the way the shaft is pointed, but nit can be used to move the putter shaft in a straight plane back and thru, although it is expensive ($120) and a cheaper shaft-attaching laser does the same thing:

You might prefer this PuttFlection -- a mirror attached just above the face to the shaft / hosel so you can see where the face is aimed, without the problem of the laser beam being too faint to see or having to use a stand-up card behind the target. Just stick a tee in the ground at the target and get the tee into the mirror! Seems like a good idea:
