I have been reading your website with great interst over the past few days, I play off 4 but I feel I have never had a good putting round. One thing that is very bad is my strike off the putter face. I have not been able to pinpoint this until today when I feel I may have pinpointed the problem. I purchased an eyeline yesterday, and while my setup wasnt too bad, on making my stroke my head stays steady on the line to the putt, but moves toward me so I am inside the line at the end of the stroke. Basically moving back toward my heels. Is there anyway of stopping this?

I am of average height and use a 34" Yes C Groove (another recent purchase)

Many Thanks

Gareth

Give me a little time

Dear Gareth,

The kind people at Eyeline just sent me an Eyeline Plane for evaluation and use in my teaching. So let me get used to it a little before I respond to your question.

Cheers!

Re:Eyeline/problem

Thanks fo the response Geoff,

I wasn't sure how well I worded the query. Simply put, my whole body position seems to rock back toward my heels during the stroke. The eyeline brought it to my attention......going back o.k but going through, thats when I notice my eyeposition move inward, around 2 inches. I previously felt I stayed fairly still

Thanks,

Gareth
