Over the past 2 weeks I've been trying out about 25 mallet putters trying to find the best one for me---ie: something that would give me a smooth putting stroke (something I have a problem with using my current putters). The Bobby Grace M5K wasn't even one of my choices because I really didn't like the way it looked.
Finally after trying out those putters, two came to the front - the Taylor Made Mezza Monza and the Odyssey DFX 2 Ball. I seem to have a small problem with each: every once in a while I seemed to have a "wobble" in my putting stroke with the Taylor Made, but I loved the look and weight of it; I putted well (as far as accuracy) with the DFX 2 ball but seldom seemed to hit the center of the putter face, which caused my distance control to suffer.
Out of desperation I picked up the MacGregor Bobby Grace M5K just to rule it out completely. The first time I putted my stroke was fluid and I hit the exact center of the face. Beginners luck...nothing that looks like this can putt this well. Over and over I kept hitting the center of the face, putting the ball right where I was aiming, and distance control was excellent.
I really loved this putter but wasn't sure it was for me...the looks again!!! But the more I putted with it the more I begin liking the looks...making putt after putt really beautifies the look of this putter
Well, I took the plunge and ordered it yesterday for $135 (unfortunately before I looked here to see if there had been any posts on it).
Today I come over to the forum looking at the different posts and find one from Martin. Geoff had this to say about the Bobby Grace putters:

Thank you Geoff for confirming in my mind that I probably (only my putting will actually tell) made the right decision in going with the Bobby Grace putter.
