Geoff,
I have commited to your putting method and really like it. However, one thing has popped up that has never happened to me before; I am topping long putts, putts outside 20ft or so. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?
Dear Bgolfing,
It's possible that you are "lifting" thru imapct, which is a use of the arm muscles that change the elbow angles. This is part of the difficulty of believing that the stroke without extra help from you will roll the ball all the way to the target. Relax, leave the arms hanging and the hands inert and low, and let the stroke take its course. The elbows will remain relaxed and the arms naturally extended.
The other possibilty is that the pivot at the base of the neck is rising just vefore impact. This will elevate the putter head and promote topping. The pivot needs to stay at a pretty constant elevation above the ground at least until well after impact.
Let me know if this addresses the problem.
Cheers!

Thanks that makes sense, especially the first piece. For longer putts I was trying to do more of a side crunch back and through whereas in my shorter strokes I just let the putter fall in the downstroke. That may be the culprit.
