You are no doubt aware of the golfswing book entitled: The LAWs of the Golf Swing - Adams, Tomasi, Suttie ... and how body types affect the golfswing dynamics. Does body type affect the putting stroke mechanics based on your extensive experience and observations?
My own take on this topic is that the putting stroke is very much affected by body shape, and those with stocky or obese bodies seem to only perform a gating stroke ... and due to interferences in their physique are unable to execute a straight through stroke.
Perhaps you could comment on how the putting stroke may be affected by the body genotypes - mesomorph, endomorph, ectomorph and mixed body types. This may be a very large topic, but perhaps you could give us your summary view.
Thank you Geoff. Is there a 'search' function on this forum? The Quick Web Search doesn't seem to work on my browser. Thanks again for directing me to the topic.
Yes, there is a link at the top of the Flatstick Forum main page to Google, which takes you to the search page for the PuttingZone website. The "radio button" is set for searching the PZ website. To search the Flatstick Forum full-text for all the posts, change the "radio button" to "search the Web" and include as the first search term in the blank field the term "flatstick forum" and then whatever other term you're searching for. Example: search the Web for terms: ["flatstick forum" body].
Or you could skip this and just search Google with the same terms. My browser has a blank field for Google always ready at the top of the screen.
Cheers!
