Help- crooked sightline driving me crazy!

Bought a used Yes brand putter off EBAY. The sightline definitely looks like it's not perpendicular to the putter face. I almost exclusively use the sightline for alignment. It's making me insane! Are these sightlines usually made and painted by hand? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I think the manufacturers try their best to make the sight line as accurate as possible and perpendicular to the putter face. It's there to help give you a visual guide and spot as to where to strike the golf ball on the sweet spot of the putter blade. My guess is that it's possible that some sight lines could be off a little and not exactly accurate. If you like the putter, experiment with it as it's possible the sight line may or may not be correctly aligned...if you feel you're missing putts due to the line not being quite right, you can alter it to your liking. Geoff will have a good take on your dilemma.
