Geoff, a few posts back, Jeden asked about the Speed Of Play On Greens...you suggested 16-22 seconds to putt from the time you replace your ball...I agree. I've seen players at my club take 40 secs to putt and I start to hyperventilate.

Jeden also asked how long the Tour players take to putt? So, yesterday, during the WGC-CA Championship Tournament, I timed Tiger Woods on the 18th green. After replacing his ball and removing his ball mark, he finally struck his putt at 1 minute and 33 seconds!!!

Thanks, Larry

Tiger Time

April 10 2007, 7:04 AM

Dear Larry,

I wonder how much time Tiger takes a) once he starts walking in to adopt his setup, and b) once he has settled into his setup before he does his practice stroke. I also wonder if his timing changes when he misses (doubt it).

Thanks for the info. Maybe we should watch old Masters tapes and see what he used to do.

Cheers!
