No, just oriented so a vertical plane slicing thru the line of the neck / throat from point of chin to base of throat where the clavicle bones meet the sternum is parallel to or even the same as a vertical plane that includes the top edge of the putter face. The throat does not have to be directly above the putter face edge, just the same "square" to the line of the putter face aim and the line of the intended putt that the putter face presents to the line of aim and line of putt. When the throat is set square to the putter face edge like this, it automatically sets the shoulders paralell to the target / putt / aim line and also sets the line across the eyes to match the aim line of the putter face. When the gaze is aimed straight out of the plane of the face and the eye line matches the aim of the putter, then a swivel of the head and face towards the target runs the line of sight in a straight line along the ground and that straight line is the SAME line the putter face actually aims down.
Cheers!
