Geoff have had a putting lesson and realised i aim 1 foot right on say 12 foot put
could not believe it but pro held my putter after i had set up and i was doing it every time
on a 4 foot put i was just outside hole on right
the advice i have been given is to line up using line on ball as i cant trust my aim
he says it will get better long term
i would be interested in your thoughts as i dont think you are a big fan of using line on ball
but if i cant trust my aim what can i do?

34 INCH ROSSA SPIDER OR SEMI BLADE OR PING ANSER
STANDARD OVERLAP RIGHT HANDED
SLIGHT ARC PATH 5FOOT 11 180LBS LATE 30,S
10 YEARS 9 UK H/CAP
PLAY TWICE WEEK PRACTISE 2-3 TIMES WEEK
So after a recent putting lesson you discovered you were aiming to the right? Now long do you suspect you have been doing this ... recently or for a long time?
With a 9 handicap, what are your course putting stats? Do you lose scoring in the fairways or on the greens?
Was your faulty aiming determined to be from behind the ball ... standing at address ... or the shape of your putting stroke?
Do you take a proper square stance to the ball or are your feet skewed to the left or right?
Was your eyesight diagnosed in your putting lesson?
Do you aim to the right with all your putter models or only one?
Thank you for your patience responding to my questions ... and providing me with a clearer picture of your situation.
I SUSPECT I HAVE DONE THIS FOR A LONG TIME
I LOSE SHOTS ON THE GREEN I AM VERY AVERAGE FOR MY HANDICAP
I PLAY WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN PUT OFF 5-7 BUT NO BETTER THAN ME EXCEPT PUTTING
MY AIM FAULT IS AT ADDRESS I CAN SEE MY FAULT FROM BEHIND (WHEN PRO HELD MY PUTTER)
MY FEET WERE ALSO AIMING RIGHT
MY EYESIGHT IS OK
I AIM RIGHT WITH ALL MODELS
WHEN I WAS SQUARED UP I FELT LIKE I WAS AIMING WAY LEFT
THE PRO SAID I WAS HOOKING THE CLUB FACE TO GET THE BALL ONLINE
BUT IT WAS CAUSING THE PULL/PUSH NO CONSISTENCY
BY THE WAY THANKS FOR YOUR INTREST IN MY PROBLEM

Sounds like your putter designs are not conducive for address alignment. Which putter were you using for your putting lesson? I believe in simplicity for putter design, and suggest you experiment with a simple design such as a Bullseye or Cashin putter to see if that alters your aiming. What do you think?
I would love to see how you hold your putter at address because it could be an anatomical problem between your hands and your putter grip that pushes the ball to the right. Also you may be contacting the ball with an open putter face when you are still on the downstroke arc. Where do you position the ball at address, and have you attempted to alter the ball position to determine if it's a dynamic or static problem?
You may be aiming to the right at static address, but who knows the alignment of your putter face in the dynamic downstroke. There are gizmos that will track your putter during the stroke, and perhaps that is more important than how you position the ball at static address position. That would give you a true picture of your complete putting stroke.
Also have you read Geoff's articles on the PZ home page for address alignment? You might consider getting Geoff's e-book ... Optimal Putting.
You might also search out the certified PZ Coach in your area of the UK ... and Geoff may also suggest that when he responds to your inquiry in his usual thorough manner.
