Well my little 2 cents is that marriage is a privilege and a gift, and is not about getting under the skin of our partners because we have the unique ability to do so, or since we have the power to do so because we know them inside out. It's about refraining from using that special position we have in the heart of our partners to hurt our partner. If one does wrong, does it justify us fighting fire with fire? So the question is, why do happily married men get into the quagmire of unfaithfulnesses? Like the initial poster said, there are many factors. If a partner becomes unfaithful whilst under the same roof, then it initially means it wasn't a happy marriage at the start. Each partner has to look deep within why they are falling or "moving" away from each other. If a partner becomes unfaithful while away on a business trip or study trip, I guess there are various other factors associated with that. Marriage separated by distance, is not a happy one in my books. Either the man must become a workaholic to avoid the temptations of loneliness and the warmth and company of a lady or indulge in activities with friends to free the mind from missing a loved one. Activities with friends may lead to something unfortunate.
I really don't know where the answer is why happily married men become unfaithful, but for me issues I consider small things are the factor that may lead to big complication. So my advice to all men is like they say, for a want of a nail.... the kingdom was lost. On a spiritual note, devil looks for the nails, the small things, so he can take the kingdom from us, don't give him that satisfactions...but as mere men, we lost sight, it matters how we forgive and continue. |
