| People turn to cult
HUNDREDS of people in the Gaulim area of East New Britain were reported to have abandoned the United church and turn to a cult movement to satisfy their beliefs and bring development into their area.
This has angered the bishop of the United church in the New Britain region Rev Albert ToBurua, who has called on the cult leaders to be disciplined.
John Kaelam, a community leader in the inland Baining area, said a group of people, who are involved with the cult movement, returned to the village recently after searching the mountains for “the covenant box” which they claimed contained the famous biblical Ten Commandments.
Mr Kaelam claimed the people were lured into the movement as churches and the Government had failed to develop their area over the last 50 years

very sad news. In yesterday's national paper, it was NSP. Today, ENB. Tomorrow, who knows? The cult activities are spreading across the provinces like wildfire. Can the higher authorities stop pinpointing fingers and do something about this before it is too late?
Cult activities were unheard of, maybe a few existed over the last couple of decades, but not this worse, what is happening?
