Environmental Test Lab Supervisor
Responsibilities:
*Provide leadership in the area of environmental testing of the various sensor and control products manufactured by Sensata Technologies
*Interface with product design to determine testing needs and identification of test equipment
*Identify and execute process and equipment improvement opportunities to drive lab efficiencies
*Ownership of lab financial budget and supervision of 3 lab technicians
Education and Experience Required:
*BS/MS (Preferred) Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
*Other technical degrees considered.
Skills and Competencies Required:
*Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and mechanics
*Ability to effectively interpret and apply industry and customer test specifications
*Knowledge of oscilloscopes, controllers, refrigeration systems, data acquisition, electrical circuits and process control fundamentals
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet schedule demands of customers
*Possess a forward-looking perspective and constantly seek to learn from the past to drive improvements
*Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, managers, peers, and subordinates
*Ability to effectively problem solve and debug equipment issues
*Possess solid documentation skills to specify work instructions, preventative maintenance methods, etc.
*Possess strong teaming, influencing and negotiating skills
