you'll realize that for the past 12 years
you should have been clenching me between your fingers

but i let go
i walked away
my words locked
no regrets
and it would be a lie
if i muttered that i dont miss you in passing conversations

and as you said
the sun will still rise
the moon will still dance upon "our" river
and the sun rise will still be blinding
but you will be alone...

this really felt like one HUGE what if.

what if......


i think those two words followed by a few others haunt everyone.
