My CM improved on cycles where I was taking antibiotics from day 1-10. I did it when working with dr. Attila Toth in NYC. Stopped after about four cycles because DH was refusing to take his antibiotics.
But recently I was back in antibiotics because of having had a cyst removed, and CM was superabundant. So I think it made a difference. Dr. T says it is because sub-clinical infections like mycoplasm bacteria, interfere with fertility in a lot of ways, including making the cells that produce CM less efficient.
