Meds can increase your chances by yielding more follies and if you have a good RE who knows his/her stuff, they can probably help to improve egg quality as well, but that depends on a lot of other stuff too.
The actual insemination (IUI - interuterine insemination) where your dh produces a sample that they wash and then inject high into your uterus via a catheter, may not increase your chances any more than if you just did timed intercourse, especially if you have good cm and no mf issues. I never had success with the actual insemination but I did with just timed intercourse.
I think IUI is best if one has poor cm or their dh has sperm quality issues.
