question about estrogen

does anyone know why estrogen doesn't rise as it is supposed to during a cycle? Two days ago, my follicle was 11.3 and my estradiol was 117. Today my follicle was 13.6 and my estradiol was only 118. My follicle grew (not as much as it could have I guess), but why didn't the estradiol rise as well? I am not on any meds, just doing a natural cycle.
