Actually, SIRM let me start BCPs and Lupron before getting a mammogram, but I had one scheduled for around the same time I would be beginning those meds, and got results before or right around the time I started stims. I'd never had a mammogram before since I'd just turned 41 and there's absolutely no history in my family as far as I know. The nurse coordinator made me sign a waiver, but she said that if I had had any risk factors she wouldn't have let me do that & would have insisted I get the mammogram first. (And I of course always want to get every possible test ever so it wasn't that I didn't want to get it, it was just a question of it taking a little time to wait for an appointment that I didn't have to pay out of pocket for.)
