there is a lot of controversy around it and it's safety, however, if you take it from cd 3 -7 like I did and is typical, it is out of your system pretty much before you ovulate. I never wanted to take clomid and never did. Clomid accumulates in your system and can have adverse effects on certain women (especially those over 40) and their linings and cycles.

I had no side effects with femara as are typical with clomid. Femara is considered to be a milder stimulant than clomid and is generally better tolerated than clomid.

Having never used clomid, I can't really make a comparison except to say that for anyone over 40, I would encourage them to approach clomid with caution.
