Response to broody hen, or anyone have info on femera - Child ment
sorry i didn't see your post earlier, and then i was waiting for the IP address issue to be resolved before posting.
anyway, i learned about femara on this board. as i understand it, it is supposed to slow your cycle down a little and maybe help you get an extra egg. i took 5mg daily from CD3-7. then i took 75 follistim for 2 days and then had 2 follicles at about 22mm so i triggered. i got pregnant that cycle and am now 12 weeks. i have a history of miscarriage and its been a year and a half since my last one. i can't say if it is the femara that did the trick as i have also been on an immune protocol (prednisone, lovenox, IVIG). but i certainly am glad i tried it! clomid supposedly can really do a number on your lining, and femara doesn't have that problem. i don't fully understand the mechanism by which they work, but they are similar and i think there is something to the way they suppress your estrogen level that might be the trick.
i have heard of women really getting messed up by clomid, but not femara (which doesn't mean there might not be femara horror stories...). i think it is worth a try.
