      My problem w/certain religious faiths is when they try to block scientific advancements that could help people, like stem cell research.

      Believing that the earth is only 6,000 years old, is like believing that the earth is flat instead of round. I hate to say it, but if someone believes this they are pretty backwards.

      Many prominent scientists won't engage in debate with creationists because they refuse to give any credibility at all to such backwards beliefs.

      The earth is about 4 and one half billion years old, and it wasn't created in six days.
