Here's my personal belief: at our age, if you have the money, it's smart to test any embryos you make to see if the chromosomes are normal. This is called CGH. Normal chromosomes dramatically increase the chance of a live birth. The embryo is biopsied and then it must be frozen while you wait for the results. Conventional freezing is hard on embryos; vitrification is a much better, newer process the best labs use that results in 99% of embryos surviving the freeze.
I will be honest with you . . . I cycled at Cooper and while I like Dr. Check his lab is definitely not top-notch in my opinion (as evidenced by things like lack of vitrification). May I ask what happened with your canceled IVF cycles? What kind of protocol did you use? |
