I'm doing okay, except for my spastic swings of thought from "okay, everything is fine, I'm calmly waiting for the u/s" to "my stomach doesn't hurt anymore, omg, it must be over, it's my fault because we had a long walk home from the fireworks" to "maybe it's okay, my boobs still hurt, let me poke them again".

Yesterday morning I felt almost like I was hungover, with a queasy stomach, which was actually reassuring. Maybe that was from the long walk. DH is trying to be supportive, but I think my 'thought swings' are leaving him really unsure of what to say. He very sweetly gave me a foot rub yesterday, which unfortunately led to some more mild freaking out because my feet were a little swollen (most likely from aforementioned long walk home from fireworks!). That combined with my healed stomach led to some anxious moments. I am very jealous of people who can get a couple of good blood tests and feel confident that they are set for 9 months. I'm so glad there are people here who understand that I can't feel that way. The best I can do is take it one day at a time, which is it's own struggle.

I'm almost better this morning - my feet are no longer swollen, my boobs are a bit sore, and my stomach is a little off, which I think is just great!

jeez this trip can make us weird.!!!LOL...
I know you know what you've signed up for. And of course you can't just 'sit back and enjoy the ride' after all you've been through to get here.
It is different for women like us who've suffered repeated crushing disappointments and nearly had the life sucked out of us by IF...
But y'know what? i reckon we'll be better parents for it....and better people too...
We've earned the title of parent the totally hardest way imaginable....and for that we deserve a massive amount of self respect and congratulation...so see what you can muster up in that department. In the mean time...
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You've made it to the next level...
and whatever happens, we're still here....

it really is wonderful to feel like you guys are on my side, no matter what the outcome happy.gif

And, yes, I am now bizarrely delighted at a queasy stomach. DH took me out for a steak dinner tonight as a treat. My stomach now feels crappy, and I couldn't be happier about it!
