Cracked nipple....July 5 2009 at 10:10 PM

| Hi Ladies -
Sorry if TMI, but I just noticed my nipple looks a cracked and is a litle discolored. It looks a little bit like it did when I was breastfeeding my DS. Now, I'm freaked out that I have something horribly wrong with me.
Could this be from all the meds I was on? I was on Crinone and Estrace and Red Clover for weeks.

I don't think what you took could contribute majorly to it.
I noticed that I had bad pain on one nipple on one side and it took me a while to figure out it was ds's top teeth but only on one side. He was biting down, not enough to hurt but enough to make me sore. It's gone away now but it really hurt in the beginning and it looked cracked.
If you're very concerned, you should probably talk to your gp about it, at least to put your mind at ease. In the meantime it won't hurt to use a nipple cream to help ease the discomfort.

I haven't breastfed in close to 3 years, it just looks a little similar to when I was breastfeeding.
