Sorry for the TMI topic.

I just did an IUI and have been constipated for days. What would you take that is not a stimulant? I read your post that Magnesium is considered a stimulant.

I have an amazingly healthy diet with lots of fiber, limited sugar, white things, etc.

What do you take while you are in the luteal phase and what do you take when you are not cycling.

when in the same situation...In the AM I have a large bowl of Trader Joe's High Fiber Cereal ( it's their brand of Fiber One without the artifical sugar)and 2-3 prunes. Betwen 3 & 4 PM I take I heaping tablespoon of Solary Psyllium Husk Powder in a glass of water or juice ( juice is better as it's pretty gross). Any brand is OK - Colon Cleanse is good too its just pure psyllium powder. It has totally kept me regualar during cycles in addition to my already high fiber healthy diet. Good Luck!

fiber and nothing...in the past, all of that worked for me too.

In fact this stuf is pure gold as far as myself and DH are concerned(JMHO of course)...Aloe Vera pills from Botanic Choice.
Hope I don't sound like an infomercial..., but this stuf is unreal. you can go to their website and its SUPERCHEAP....if you buy 2 its $5 each.
suffered with constipation for years....ate enough fiber to choke a mule....this stuf is amazing.
Also, I tried other Aloe vera tabs....they didn't work, 'cause BCs is the leaf and not the liquid...the leaf is what does the trick.

One problem with it though,....you can't take aloe vera while pregnant or nursing and it might not be good if you're TTC...so if I had to go another route what has worked pretty good is for me: prunes, fiber (esp. beans, like pinto beans)fresh pears(if you can find them) and tons of water...not too glamorous, but you'll sure feel alot better!happy.gif

Raw veggies are a sure bet, but I've always had to eat them in moderation.
